A Back Garden on a Low Budget

The client was looking for a modern feel to the garden which is achieved with strong lines and bold planting.  The garden was very run down with broken fences and shed and very little foliage in it.

We replaced the fence with horizonal cedar slats, which instantly brought the garden up to date, laid a new patio and added a small permenant seating area at the back corner that bathes in the afternoon and evening sun. We cut out new flower beds and replaced the lawn with new turf.

We planted dwarf bamboo and lavender in the raised bed for privacy and colour.  Finally, we produced a planting plan and planted up the new borders.
